| Job Description : | Office Manager (Head Office / HR) to 24K Brighthouse is a leading retail chain trading through 188 stores nationwide offering quality goods for the home in an affordable way. Position: Head Office & HR Administrator Location: Watford, Hertfordshire Salary: 22-24K with a maximum of 6% bonus opportunity. ROLE: As Office Manager you will ensure that a professional Head Office environment is maintained, in both appearance and functionality and to support the HR team. Your role is anticipated to be a 50 - 50 role between Office Manager and HR support activities. You will be responsible for two Receptionists and you will also liaise with secretarial staff (PA’s) to cover various Head Office administration needs. This job is more about making sure things happen or are covered as opposed to actually doing everything. RESPONSIBILITIES: a) Maintain excellent working relationships with Head Office colleagues. b) Office security and Health & Safety. c) Ensure a clear desk policy is understood. d) Liaise with our clients Customer Service Centre management (Shared/communal services). e) Ensure that reception and telephone response services operate effectively. f) Catering and cleaning services operate efficiently. g) Manage mailroom for receipt and distribution of all mail. h) Ensure that notice boards for staff and visitors are kept up to date. i) Administer booking and use of conference and meeting rooms. j) Prepare accurate and professional letters/reports as required by the HR needs of the business and ensure copy correspondence is sent to all relevant parties. k) Prepare presentations / field communications / meeting records as directed. l) Secure any travel, accommodation and meetings rooms as requested for HR. m) Control stocks of office stationery, business cards, printed materials and other requirements for Head Office. n) Maintain filing system for HR & Office Management. o) Manage induction programmes for new recruits to Head Office, or for field management completing H.O. familiarisation programmes. ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: a) Previous experience of work as an office manager or similar, with experience of running a small team. b) Knowledge and experience of dealing with a variety of HR related issues and tasks. b) IT Literate – Advanced MS Word, Advanced Excel, Basic Power Point, Intermediate Lotus Notes (outlook). c) Touch typist 60wpm. d) Ability to plan and complete multiple tasks within appropriate timeframes. e) Health & Safety, (including Fire and First Aid).
