Survey 60 - "72% of IT employees wear glasses – are you surprised?"
Would you think that more IT workers wear glasses just because their job involves working with computers? Well, if you said YES, then you were right! In fact a total of 72% of respondents do wear glasses as a recent survey by theITjob.com reveals. Is this really because of their job role?
Maybe IT employees love working with computers so much that they are less likely to take breaks and sit there concentrating on numbers and symbols on the screen for longer periods. And quite possibly they are the kind of people who are more likely to use their computers when they get home in the evenings. Without being offensive to the IT industry, the combination of the two could result in the individuals straining their eyes and therefore needing glasses.
