Survey 19 - "Have you kept your New Years Resolution this time?"
72% of respondents said their New Year's Resolution for 2005
were in some way related to their career or job situation. Does this
mean a large proportion of us were unhappy with our employment before
the holidays? Were most of us looking to make changes to it in the
New Year? The results of the TipTopJob January survey appear
to show that this is the case!
If you were one of those who responded to the survey, have you
actually fulfilled your resolution and found a new job? Have you
gone for that next promotion? If you are still in the same place
as you were before Christmas, are you now going to wait till next
year or carry on looking for a better future? It is amazing how
many people dont keep to a resolution and then when the Resolution
fails, they say 'hey, ill do it next year', instead of actually
going ahead and doing it there and then.
TipTopJob.com werent the only website to do a poll
with resolutions in mind, Gary Ryan Blair from The GoalsGuy has
come up with the top 10 most common ones. With losing weight, stopping
smoking, sticking to a budget and saving more money ranking the
top 4, 'finding a better job' ranked fifth in the list.
